REMEDY

Research Ethics in Medicine Study Group works on ethics and policies of biomedical research. We provide independent analyses to make research with human beings in biomedicine safer and more efficient. We also serve as Ethics Advisors to several research projects.

Our team has expertise in philosophy, biology, biomedical engineering, mathematics, biostatistics and pharmacology.

What we do

Safe medication and medical procedures increase the quality and length of our lives. However, they must first be tested in research on human beings.

  • How can research participants be protected at the same time as advancing medicine?
  • How can safe medication be delivered efficiently, without inconveniencing the people testing their effectiveness?

The REMEDY Group studies options, proposing standards and methodological solutions.

We adapt methods of Evidence-Based Medicine and meta-research to answer questions in bioethics.

Our main area of interest is research in oncology, including pediatric research.
